Just as a matter of interest, how long does it take people to swim 1000m?

My fastest time to date is 28mins 20secs

No yet Nomad, I got the 40 done in 30 minutes on Monday but increased to 60 yesterday which took me an hour  Shocked but this was also due to other factors which will be in my diary in a mo!

I don't get time to swim for that long Taz as our pool is only open for about an hour and a half at the times when I can go due to there being other things on and it being a small pool.  My fastest mile so far is 41 minutes which I am quite pleased with.
